Bloor-Yorkville

Historic Yorkville was the hotbed of bohemian culture in the 1960’s where icons like Joni Mitchell and Neil Young got their start. Today instead of sit-ins and hippie culture, Yorkville is home to high-end shopping and dining. If picking up designer goods is your bag, then this is the place to give your wallet a workout. Follow your shopping indulgence with lunch and celeb watching on the patio at Sassafraz. You’re sure to spot a few movie stars strolling the streets during Toronto’s filming season and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). If culture is what you’re after there are several independent galleries in the area, along with the popular Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and The Bata Shoe Museum. Looking for some night life? Have your favourite drink at Hemmingway’s famous roof top patio and cap off your night enjoying the beautiful Toronto skyline.

Bloor West Village

One of Toronto’s most coveted neighbourhoods, Bloor West is the jewel in our crown. Take a stroll through High Park, the largest park in the city and revel at the bounty of cherry blossoms in the springtime. Maybe you’d like to stop by the High Park Zoo to say hello to the alpacas! Grab a coffee and sweet treat from Bread and Roses bakery or a plate of pirogues from one of the many Ukrainian-Eastern European restaurants in the area like Amber European Restaurant. Carry on the tradition of afternoon tea at the beautiful Old Mill serving up tea and crumpets since 1914. You’ll feel like you’re in the English countryside strolling the grounds at this incredible place. Fancy something to wet your whistle? BWV is pub row! Kick back with a cold one at popular neighbourhood spots like Bryden’s or Cabin Fever. This cozy neighbourhood is the place to be for charm, culture, and culinary delights.

The Annex

One of the oldest neighbourhoods in Toronto, The Annex is a popular neighbourhood located in the heart of the city home with The University of Toronto’s beautiful architecture as its backdrop. Rich in grass roots culture there is plenty of exciting things to see and do. Whether you want to check out a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the famous Hot Docs Cinema, or grab some chicken and waffles at The Dirty Bird, the Annex is the place to be in The 6. This neighbourhood is also home to eclectic watering holes like The Madison Ave. Pub and The Bedford Academy. If you’d like to rock out to a live band we can swing by Lee’s Palace or make our way up to the second floor to shake our groove thangs at The Dance Cave. The Annex has no shortage of must see’s and do’s!

Queen Street West

Hailed as one of the coolest neighbourhoods by Vouge magazine, Queen St. West is home to Toronto’s trendsetters. With hundreds of bars, shops and restaurants to discover, there’s an endless list of trendy places to see and be seen. Hungry? Grab some finger licking good ribs at Electric Mud BBQ or choose from a variety of organic cuisines at The Good Son. The Drake Hotel is one of Queen West’s hippest spots for night life. Schmooze it up on their beautiful Sky Yard. Queen West is home to a parade of trendy hot spots. Check out live bands at landmarks like the The Horseshoe Tavern or The Cameron House. Looking for a more punk scene? Bovine Sex Club is where you want to be. Looking to mellow out? Slow it down with a of taste of jazz at The Rex . Up for some shopping? Pick up a few treasures at Queen West Antique Centre or grab some new threads at Kit and Ace. Stop and smell the roses at beautiful Trinity Bellwoods park, nestled right off of Queen St. This green retreat is perfect for people watching while you sip a latte and nibble on a French pastry from Nadège Patisserie. No matter what you’re up for Queen West will make you feel like one of the cool kids.

Distillery District

Step back in time at Toronto’s beloved Distillery District. Located east of downtown Toronto this historic site has the largest collection of Victorian-era industrial architecture in North America. The former Gooderham and Worts Distillery built in 1832 now houses numerous restaurants, cafes and shops. Popular spots include El Catrin, serving up Mexican fare and an array of tequilas, and Mill St. Brewery where you can try a sampling of some of their finest ales after a tour of their brewery on site. Experience Italian espresso & European wines at Café Furbo while you check out their collection of abstract art. Sweet tooth? SOMA Chocolatemaker is an artisan chocolate factory with a viewing area for you to see their imaginative treats come to life. One of the Distillery’s biggest claims to fame is their annual Christmas Market. This week-long market held in December will get you into the Christmas spirit with their many vendors serving things like Maple Leaf Fudge to hot apple cider. You’ll need something to warm you up as you stroll down Santa’s Lane perusing hand crafted gifts and listening to the carolers sing. Cobblestone and culture-it’s all here at The Distillery.

Greek Town

Just a few kilometres east on Bloor is a popular neighbourhood aptly named Greek Town, as it’s known for its Greek residents and businesses. Located on the Danforth, this place has all that you want when it comes to eating, drinking and being merry. Check out popular spots like Christina’s or Astoria to try traditional dishes like Saganaki. Watch in awe as your server pours a splash of Ouzo on delicious Greek cheese and light it on fire right at your table. Like a show with your dinner? Enjoy some traditional Greek belly dancing while you savour your lamb or moussaka at Pan. Browse the Carrot Common for one-of-kind treasures from shops like Gifts From The Earth or get a smoothie from the all organic grocery store The Big Carrot. Feel like taking in some live entertainment? The Danforth music Hall has hosted acts like James Brown and The Police and most recently Rihanna for a surprise promotional gig. If you’d like to kick back with a cold one there are many bars to cater to your tastes such as Irish pubs like the Dora Keough or you can spice it up with traditional Cuban music and mojitos at Mambo Lounge. If you happen to be in the city during August, Greektown hosts one of the largest street fairs in North America: The Taste of The Danforth Festival. Fill your belly with not just Greek cuisine, but tastes from around the world as you check out the performers and browse through the vendors. As you can see Greektown is full of things to taste, see and do! Opa!

The Queensway (Humber Bay)

Take your trip lakeside by visiting the beautiful Queensway area of Toronto. Roncesvalles Village is a little nook west of the lake lined with an array of Polish and trendy bakeries and restaurants. Dinner and entertainment is on the menu at the renowned Famous People Players Dinner Theatre. If carnival entertainment is what you’re after, in the summertime you can ride the mid-way and snack on Tiny Tom Donuts at The Canadian National Exhibition (better known as the Ex). Soccer fan? Check out a Toronto Rock game at BMO Field. How about an outdoor concert? Toronto always hosts a fantastic summer line up at The Budweiser Stage (Formerly The Molson Canadian Amphitheatre) The Queensway is definitely the quintessential summertime spot in Toronto.

Kensington Market

Rated one the best street markets in North America the narrow streets of Kensington Market can trace its roots back to the 1920’s when this formerly Jewish neighbourhood would set up stands and sell their wares to their neighbours. Lined with vibrantly coloured Victorian houses, Kensington is known to be a melting pot of diversity. Travel south of the border at Seven Lives with some Baja style tacos or give in to your cravings at Krepesz Cafe & Bar, a Hungarian spot with beautiful murals by local artists on its walls. Grab a fresh piece of fruit from one of the many fruit and veggie vendors on your way to some of the best vintage shops in town. Courage my Love, and Bungalow are two popular spots. For chill vibes and local music, the hep cats are known to hang out at places like Handlebar and Poetry Jazz café. Kensington is definitely repping the counter culture for this great city.

St. Lawrence Market

This historic brick building houses the city’s largest market. There’s an abundance of gourmet foods from around the world to choose from, namely delectable cheeses and meats to keep you salivating. Every Saturday you can purchase fresh flowers and local produce from smaller farmer’s markets. Looking for a sit-down meal or refreshments? The Market Gallery and Paddington Pump are here to serve you. Toronto treasures are a hop skip and jump from the market such as the Gooderham Flatiron Building and The Hockey Hall of fame. The Harbourfront

Take your tour of Toronto lakeside with a trip to The Harbourfront. Just south of the downtown core, this upscale neighbourhood provides gorgeous views of Lake Ontario and Toronto Island. Toronto’s Harbourfront offers scenic walks such as the Edge Promenade, giving you an opportunity to take in those magnificent views. Kick back on a Muskoka chair on Sugar Beach. Stroll the many trails and parkettes and discover the water sculptures in the Sherbourne Common. Surfs up on the WaveDecks, a series of wavy pathways simulating the surface of Lake Ontario. Enjoy free concerts and the beauty of Toronto Music Garden designed by cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Harbourfront Centre stretches 10 acres and is home to an array of markets, theatres, galleries, and studios, namely one of Toronto’s most acclaimed contemporary art galleries-The Power Plant. Hungry? Thirsty? Pop into one of the many restaurants in the area like Gonoe Sushi or Amsterdam BrewHouse after touring this beautiful waterfront site!

The Entertainment District

In the mood to dance the night away? Are you a concert goer? Adventure seeker? Sports fan? Then let us take you to Toronto’s jam packed hub of fun! The Entertainment District has a cluster if clubs and bars catering to your tastes from offering you laid back vibes at Crocodile Rock, to dance clubs like Orchid Night Club. If you’re hungry there are restaurants a plenty. Feeling fancy? Spots like Hy’s Steakhouse and Buonanotte are there to serve. If you’d rather grab some pub grub iconic sports bars like Wayne Gretzky’s, or The Real Sports Bar are the places to be. Take in a Blue Jays game at The Rogers Centre or cheer for the Leafs or The Raptors at the Air Canada Centre (ACC). If you’re not afraid of heights ride up 144 floors to the top of the CN Tower and view the city below on their sky deck. Feel like you’re under the sea at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada as sharks and sting ray swim above you in their glass tunnel. Enough excitement for you yet?

Dundas and Nathan Philips Square

Dubbed Canada’s Times Square due to its commercial hustle and bustle and bright massive billboard screens, Dundas Square is a sight to see. Play in the ground level water fountains on a hot summer day, or enjoy one of the many free concerts, movies and performances held in the square throughout the year. Shop til’ you drop at the world-famous Toronto Eaton Centre or take in dinner at The Hard Rock Café and a show at the Ed Mirvish Theatre, Elgin Theatre, and/or Winter Garden Theatre. Right around the corner you will stumble upon Nathan Phillips Square, and Old and New City Hall. Bring your ice skates if you plan to come in the winter for a few laps around the skating rink. The square is also a popular spot during the holidays with The Cavalcade of Lights, and City TV’s New Years Eve Party.

Toronto Island

Yes, we have our very own island! We can take the 15 minute ferry over to the 5 kilometer island and have a mini get away from your get away. Enjoy activities like volley ball, soccer, or even lawn bowling! Pedal around the island on a rental bike or skip the ferry home and take a canoe back to the mainland. Pack a picnic or enjoy a meal at the Island Café. Go for a swim and get a tan in the buff at Hanan’s Point, the islands famous clothing-optional beach. For you electronica lovers, July through September the island hosts the Electric Island music series. If you’re into epic views the Toronto skyline is one to behold as the sun is setting from this fantastic little island
